The Joe Barone Foundation honors the life and legacy of Joe Barone by championing the values he lived every day—kindness, leadership, and a deep love for the game. We believe that all young people, including those with special needs and diverse abilities, deserve access to safe, supportive, and inclusive sports experiences.

Our work focuses on improving youth sports safety by providing defibrillators, first-aid training, and essential health resources to local clubs and community organizations. We also support programs that expand access to sports, build stronger communities, and help young athletes grow with confidence—on and off the field.

By following Joe’s footsteps, we aim to create a world where every child has the opportunity to play, belong, and thrive.

When designing the bracelet for the Joe Barone Foundation, Oriana—together with the foundation’s board members—wanted each element to carry a deeper meaning that reflects both Joe’s spirit and the mission of the foundation.

The amethyst beads were chosen for their symbolism of strength, protection, and clarity—qualities that represent Joe’s leadership and the positive impact he had on so many. Paired with an angel wing charm, the bracelet serves as a beautiful reminder that Joe’s presence and legacy continue to watch over and inspire the community he loved.

The red howlite bead with a heart charm represents compassion, courage, and love—the very heart of the foundation’s work. Red also holds special significance as the recognized color of heart disease awareness, honoring Joe’s memory while helping bring attention to the importance of heart health and safety in youth sports. The heart charm reflects the kindness and generosity Joe shared with everyone around him.
