LOCAL NJ JEWELRY DESIGNER CREATES BRACELET
FOR NATIONAL CHILDHOOD CANCER FOUNDATION
Rising Entrepreneur Continues to Give Back
RED BANK, NJ, February 4th, 2017– Oriana Lamarca, an international jewelry designer of one-of-a-kind semi-precious gemstone bracelets and necklaces, has designed a custom lapis gemstone bracelet with a lemon pendant charm in honor of
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF). Proceeds from the sale of the bracelet will go to ALSF.
This year the lapis lazuli bracelet was designed to honor a special nine-year-old New Jersey boy named Chuck who was has been bravely fighting his own battle with brain cancer this past year. “I selected a lapis lazuli stone as it is said to relieve anger and negative thoughts,” said Oriana Lamarca, owner and the creative talent behind Oriana Lamarca Designs.
According to Lamarca the lapis lazuli stone stimulates the desire for knowledge, truth and understanding and aids in the process of learning and healing. It symbolizes the ability to put the dark time in Chuck’s life behind him, continued Oriana. “Chuck is an amazing little boy, and his story from diagnosis through treatment is truly inspirational,” said Oriana. Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation was begun by Alex Scott who held the first lemonade stand fundraiser when she was battling cancer. This national childhood cancer foundation is dedicated to raising funds for research into new treatments and cures for all children battling cancer. Oriana donated a gift set consisting of the Alex’s Lemonade bracelet, a yellow jade beaded bracelet packaged together in a white mesh lemon travel bag that was raffled off at the 4th annual "Lemonade Crop" Scrapbooking hosted by Karen Salerno of Holmdel, mother of Tony, a child who was diagnosed in 2006 with Stage IV High Risk Neuroblastoma; the same type of cancer as Alexandra Scott, who started Alex’s Lemonade Stand.
This is the fourth bracelet in a line of Armcandy-for-a-cause bracelets that Oriana has developed to benefit causes close to her heart. Others in the collection include: American Brain Tumor Association; Children’s Specialized Hospital; and the victims of last year’s earthquake in Amatrice, Italy. A new bracelet, soon to be revealed, will benefit threads4care, a New Jersey based organization that is striving to clothe needy children and young adults.
“I have been so blessed in my life, especially this past year seeing my dream come true with the creation and success of my line of bracelets and necklaces,” Oriana stated. “It is important for me to give back to those in need, especially children,” she added. Oriana’s collection of bold, colorful bracelets, as well as a new line of velvet chokers, is a complement to the Arm Party style that has become her signature and sparked #addictedtoarmcandy.
