Beat Those Winter Blues with the Warmth and Richness of Marsala
Winter has officially arrived! This is one of the best times of year to get creative and start something new. Many of us are taking the time to create goals and resolutions for the New Year. I would also add to that to experiment with your beauty style from your wardrobe to your makeup!
Whether you wear minimal makeup or like a more dramatic look, I’m going to introduce you to the color for the month of January that could help you beat the winter blues and add a little more richness to your life! Pair it with a matching Marsala inspired arm party (seen here) and you will really liven up your look!
The gorgeous color Marsala is a naturally robust, earthy wine red. It’s an earthy shade that adds a bit of sophistication and warmth to any look. Marsala is flattering against most skin tones and can be worn in a variety of ways. Here I show you a look perfect for a cozy winter date night in or out!
Here on Oriana I used the Master Palette by Mario Dedivanovic and Anastasia Beverly Hills to create a sultry and rich eye. I used a mixture of colors to get a warm, rich look. I used a blend of NYC, Muse and Violeta. The shadows are silky smooth and glide on so effortlessly making them easy for any beginner or pro to create their favorite look. You can also keep the makeup look simpler, by just adding a pop of the wine shade over your eyeliner or as your eyeliner alone. And for some extra glow, mix a small amount of the shadow Muse, a rose gold with a satin finish, with your favorite highlighter like Shimmering Skin Perfector Spotlight in Opal by Becca Cosmetics to create an overall seamless look.
The color Marsala is great paired with other earthy tones like gold, greens, bronze, teal, rose, and terracotta. There are many ways to tastefully add Marsala to your makeup routine. Have fun with it and get creative! It’s just makeup!
