White Howlite "JAR of Hope" with Pave Butterfly Pendant

 JAR of Hope was born November 2013 when the Raffones precious son, James Anthony Raffone, was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). DMD is a muscle-wasting disease that usually begins around the age of four, and worsens quickly. Muscle loss typically occurs first in the thighs and pelvis followed by the arms. There are currently no effective treatments or cure for this rare disease. To date modern medicine has not been able to offer any effective treatments besides steroids which can only extend present function by 1-2 years. Jamesy was four years old at that time. Today, he is twelve, and each day without a cure his muscles continue to waste away. Therefore, the newest addition to the “Armcandy For a Cause” collection is dedicated to JAR of Hope and finding a cure. Oriana chose White Howlite beads and a Green pave Butterfly pendant to correspond with their logo, representing hope, change, and positivity.
