    Be A Tiger Foundation was created by the parents of Vincent Liberatore, after he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 5. The Foundation’s mission is to accelerate the discovery of treatments and cures for Type 1 diabetes and related genetic conditions.

    Type 1 diabetes effects 1.52 million children worldwide, and 7.25 million adults. Without rapid diagnosis and appropriate treatment, type 1 diabetes leads to diabetic ketoacidosis, a potentially fatal outcome, making awareness and education about the condition critical. 

    Be a Tiger Foundation humbly strives to achieve an immediate impact in this space. We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, and through your generous donations, we directly fund and support clinical research aimed to treat and cure type 1 diabetes and related genetic conditions. The expectation is that 100% of the contributions made to the Foundation will go toward funding a cure, so that your generosity will have maximum impact on patients and families affected by this disease.​
